The wait has been long, but Wayforward is preparing to launch Shantae: Half-Genie Hero in all territories and all consoles this September on the 27th. The physical release, known as “Risky Beats” edition, is coming only to PS4, PS Vita, and Wii U.
Risky Beats edition comes with a physical CD featuring the soundtrack of the game. The soundtrack includes many of the same songs as the backer soundtrack, but will not include “backer-exclusive” songs that are part of the Kickstarter backer reward. The physical release is currently planned only for the US and is up for pre-order right now for $29.99.
The release date of September 27, 2016 is the “target release” and is susceptible to change, but should release in a similar time frame if it does change.
